I actually thought about adding all this into my plugin but my friend <a href="http://opensoul.org" rel="nofollow">Brandon</a> already has a stellar <a href="http://github.com/collectiveidea/acts_as_audited/tree/master" rel="nofollow">acts as audited plugin</a> that I often use. Glad you found the plugin useful! This definitely works, but you could make it even better by actually tracking what changed.
